ILSR’s John Farrell Presents at the National Solar Congress

What started as a tweet, then a blog post, has become a complete “vision for an equitable economic recovery built on climate protection and energy democracy.”

ILSR and a coalition of advocacy groups, including the Initiative for Energy Justice and Solar United Neighbors, are putting together an economic recovery proposal of 30 million solar rooftops.

ILSR’s John Farrell and Initiative for Energy Justice Co-Founder/Co-Director Shalanda Baker presented this idea for 30 million solar rooftops as part of the National Solar Congress on Oct. 23. In their presentation, hosted by Anya Schoolman of Solar United Neighbors, the two explained how the proposal could address three major crises: the COVID-19 induced economic crisis, the climate crisis, and the crisis of racial inequality.
