Stacy Mitchell joined John Fugelsang on SiriusXM’s Tell Me Everything. They talked about why the left should embrace its New Deal roots and fight for small business.

Our biggest challenge is the concentration of economic power. And if we look at what it is that people need, if we’re going to have a more just and equitable society, we need to disperse that power. People need to have more say over their livelihoods, over the way our country works, and over the way our economy works. Unions are one way to do that. And small business ownership is another. Both of those things put real power into the hands of ordinary people.

Listen to the interview here.

Stacy’s conversation is based on her featured Nation essay Why the Left Should Ally with Small Business, written with Susan R. Holmberg.
