The Lifecycle Building Center (LBC) has released its 2017 annual report indicating its continued growth and impact on Atlanta area communities. The enterprise makes building materials available to the public at deep discounts instead of placing those materials into landfills. Customers purchase materials at prices ranging from $0.15-$0.50 on the dollar and nonprofits receive free material donations through LBC\u2019s Nonprofit Material MATCH program. Support from material donors and customers has grown each year since the Center opened in 2011.<\/p>\n

2017 A Record-breaking Year for LBC<\/h1>\n

Material sales at LBC\u2019s Material Reuse Center generate a significant portion of the revenue needed to deliver our programs. In 2017, we have repeatedly broken monthly sales records and, so far this year, 86% of operating expenses have been covered by material sales<\/strong>. This is an increase from 61% in 2016 and is a significant achievement for a nonprofit that is only 6 years old.<\/p>\n

Our impact in the community continues to grow as a direct result of increased support and engagement from homeowners, builders, business owners, nonprofits and other supporters.<\/p>\n
