Nora Goldstein of BioCycle Magazine<\/a> and Brenda Platt and Virginia Streeter of the Instituto para la Autosuficiencia Local <\/a>will present: Illuminating Growth in Composting Access + Processing Through Data.<\/p>\r\n

The webinar will focus on two of the industry\u2019s most robust efforts to collect data on areas critical to understanding the landscape of both organics recycling processing capacity, as well as residential access to municipal curbside organics collection programs.<\/p>\r\n

Nora Goldstein<\/strong>, Editor of BioCycle Magazine, will explain BioCycle\u2019s 2017 State of Organics Recycling In the U.S.<\/a>, which presents composting and anaerobic digestion (AD) infrastructure data, along with details on tons of organics recycled and state programs and policies that support composting and AD. The information is a \u201csnapshot in time\u201d of states\u2019 organics recycling activities.<\/p>\r\n

Brenda Platt,<\/strong> Co-Director of the Institute for Local Self-Reliance (ILSR), and Virginia Streeter<\/strong>, Research Associate for ILSR\u2019s Composting for Community project,<\/a> will preview the methodology and findings of BioCycle\u2019s 2017 Residential Food Waste Collection Access In The U.S.<\/em>, a periodic survey of municipal curbside and drop-off organics collection programs, Brenda and Virginia will explore the quantitative and qualitative changes since the survey was last conducted in 2015.<\/p>\r\n
