Since Second Chance, the non-profit building deconstruction and retail outlet, started with 6 workers it has grown to over 150 employees. The vast majority of them were recruited through the City of Baltimore\u2019s employment programs.\u00a0 Returning citizens have benefited greatly from these opportunities. “First Glance at Second Chance” provides an excellent picture of this exemplary company. ILSR and Second Chance have been working partners for the past 15 years. ILSR personnel trained the first deconstruction crews for Second Chance. Second Chance sells recovered materials at its spacious warehouse and showroom facilities in Downtown Baltimore.<\/p>\n
