Welcome to the new Energy Self-Reliant States

ILSR Senior Researcher John Farrell launched the Energy Self-Reliant States blog in late 2010 to provide hard data and analysis on the economic and political advantages of focusing on distributed renewable energy and local ownership.  For a while, it lived off our website, due to technical and aesthetic limitations.

Today, we’re happy to repatriate the blog.  All the content and comments have moved over, and the blog posts will show up as “Articles” in our Energy initiative. Readers can jump right to the blog at https://ilsr.org/initiatives/esrs/  (in the future, we’ll also redirect people from the original URL, http://energyselfreliantstates.org)

For loyal readers of Energy Self-Reliant States, the RSS feed and email list (unchanged despite the move!) remain the two best ways to make sure you don’t miss a chart.
