CBC’s Canada Tonight: Ticketmaster’s Monopoly Power and the Taylor Swift Ticket Fiasco

Ron Knox, Senior Writer and Researcher at ILSR, joined CBC’s Canada Tonight to discuss Ticketmaster’s disastrous rollout of the Taylor Swift Eras tour pre-sale. Unchecked corporate concentration, he argues, has created a heavily monopolized and dysfunctional ticketing industry, where artists have no viable alternatives to pursue better service.
