In Wisconsin, only Northern States Power Company, owned by Xcel Energy, offers virtual net metering. Xcel has installed three one-megawatt community solar gardens in the state through their Solar*Connect Community program. Customers are charged a one-time fee and receive a credit on their monthly electric bill.
