Advanced ‘Chemical’ Recycling for Production of Fuel and Plastic Products

Chemical, or advanced, recycling is another name for incineration. It’s the most expensive and most polluting way to manage plastic and other discards. You can find more information here in this informative video.

As you may have guessed, ILSR does NOT agree with the current processes of chemical recycling.

Here’s what other groups think: The American Chemical Council says YES; Christian Science Monitor says NOT SO SURE; US EPA says NO; and the Global Anti-Incineration Alliance says NO.
