Linda Knapp is a Senior Program Manager for ILSR, overseeing the Mid-Atlantic Consortium of Recycling and Economic Development Officials (MACREDO), a recycling market development group funded by the US Environmental Protection Agency for the five-state region.  Ms. Knapp has 28 years of experience providing administrative, development, and technical support for programs in the fields of recycling, environment, and renewable energy.  She has been successful in implementing a wide range of demonstration projects and educational programs in cooperation with government agencies, community-based organizations, and the private sector.  She has worked for ILSR since 1993.  She is responsible for managing the preparation of recycling market development tools, publications, and collaborative outreach projects.  She was instrumental in the development and implementation of the West Philadelphia Deconstruction Pilot Project in cooperation with the City’s Neighborhood Transformation Initiative during the summer of 2003.  She presented the project findings at state, regional, and national events. Ms. Knapp is currently managing three state and federally-funded projects to support the further development of the deconstruction industry and markets for recovered construction materials in the Mid-Atlantic region.  One of these projects involves developing an electronic directory of architectural salvage, reuse, deconstruction, and related firms in the Mid-Atlantic states.

She is responsible for managing the preparation of recycling market development tools, publications, and collaborative outreach projects. For the past seven years, she has been involved in composting projects including oversight for the Composting in the Mid-Atlantic Region report and management of food residual recovery outreach efforts in the Mid-Atlantic States.  Her current work focuses on increasing on-farm composting.
